About Us |
Thank You For Your Interest
We welcome you to our
website that will describe all of our children's programs and day
services for older adults at Generations Together.
Opened in 1993, Generations
Together (formerly named the Dexter Intergenerational Center) is
the first Center in Michigan built specifically to link those who
are growing up with those who are growing older. As an intergenerational
day care and learning center, we provide care for children ages
six weeks to five years, kindergartners, schoolagers, and day programs
for adult's ages 55 and older who may need some degree of support
(i.e., those who are medically frail, confused, experiencing memory
loss or dementia, socially isolated, etc.). The physical and social
environment of Generations Together encourages contact between the
generations without forcing it. Each age group has its own areas,
its own activities, and its own specially trained staff.
- We are conveniently located in Dexter, I-94 Baker Road exit
(#167), just minutes from downtown Ann Arbor and surrounding areas.

- We are open weekdays throughout the year, including school holidays,
to accommodate the needs of working families.
- We are a nonprofit organization committed to offering affordable
rates, and a unique concept of care.
